Privacy policy
What this site collects when you visit, and what we do with it. The short version: we use Google Analytics to see which pages are useful, with your consent where the law asks for it. We don't run ads, and we don't sell or share your data.
Who we are
DevReel makes video for developer tools. This site, devreel.mov, is ours. For anything about your data, write to hello@devreel.mov.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: which pages people read, how long they stay, how they found us, and roughly where they are (country and city, worked out from your IP address; Google Analytics does not store the address itself). It also records the device, browser and screen size.
In the EU, the UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics sets no cookies and keeps nothing tied to you unless you choose Accept. Everywhere else it runs until you choose Decline. You can change your answer at any time:

Your choice itself is kept in your browser's local storage (as devreel-consent), not in a cookie, and it is never sent to us. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, no longer than 14 months. Google processes it under its own privacy policy.
Videos on this site
Video thumbnails load from YouTube's image servers, which, like any image request, see your IP address. The videos themselves only load when you press play, through YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Once a video is playing, YouTube's privacy policy applies.
When you get in touch
If you email us, book a call or send a brief, we receive what you send and use it to reply and to work with you. Calls are booked through Cal.com and briefs are sent through Typeform; both are separate sites with their own privacy policies. We keep these messages for as long as we are working together, and as long as accounting rules require afterwards.
Hosting
The site is served by Netlify, which keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, the pages requested) to run and protect the service.
What we don't do
No advertising, no ad tracking, no profiles that follow you across other sites, and no selling or sharing your data. The site's fonts are served from our own domain, not from a third party.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw consent for analytics at any time with the button above. Write to hello@devreel.mov and we will answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
When what the site collects changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves.
